Our Mission: To teach and train children and bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and then to help them grow to glorify Christ. This means to teach and train the children of our church family as we also reach out to the unsaved and unchurched children of our communities with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Why Have Childrens Ministries?

Providing children with a positive and lifechanging church experience as part of their spiritual development is essential to a life-long process of helping people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Noted social science researcher (and Christian parent) George Barna states that after completing national research on the topic: “Attending a church [as an adult] appears to be more a function of one's personal experience when young…” (Barna 2001). Additional research also suggests that learning the Bible, building relationships, and having an enjoyable experience are the three major factors from childhood that motivate adults to understand that involvement in a local church is important through the remainder of their life. Here at Girard Alliance Church, we want to reach children with the transformational message of Jesus Christ so they can have lives of spiritual freedom and growth. Three main areas of investment help us to accomplish this mission.

1. Interactions with teachers and leaders; providing examples of adults who desire to follow Christ in every aspect of life.

2. Sharing the truth of the Bible with kids; to help them understand it to be God’s guide for life.

3. Being in safe and enjoyable experiences with other kids; to build healthy relationships that motivate and encourage each child.

If your family is just beginning its spiritual journey together, we want to come alongside of you with Children’s Ministries that will help you raise spiritually healthy children, and provide you with the “tools” to develop a strong Christian family.

If your family has already made following Christ an integral part of life -- it is our desire to reinforce the efforts you have made, and continually encourage and support you in that process.

Ages: 4yr . /K - 5th Grade (Optional 6th)

Day & Time: Wednesdays 6:30 - 8:15PM

Purpose: To develop and promote relationships with churched and unchurched kids/famlies so they can meet Christ and know Him better.

Disciplemaking Goal: Winning & Building

Vision: A place and time that is bursting with energy from a God who is excited to change lives, and from a people who are watching Him do so. (Micah 7:7; Psalm 150:2; 1 Peter 1:3)

Descript ion: Club 119 is the Wednesday night Chi ldren’s Minist r y out reach at Girard Alliance Church. Join us for the “Onset ” opening session as we spread the exci tement through upbeat music and act ivi t ies.

Your “Clubbers” wi l l then rock wi th their “Crews” & “DJ’s” as the move through various stations such as Truth Transmission, Groove & Grub, Sonic Scene, and Prayer & Share. Throughout the course of the year , your Clubbers wi l l learn about how they can have a dynamic personal relat ionship wi th Jesus, and
appl y the Truth of the Bible to ever yday Life.“

Ages: Pre/K - 5th Grade (Optional 6th)

Day & Time: Sundays 9:45 - 10:50AM

Purpose: To provide kids with Biblical knowledge and wisdom so that they can be “thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:17)

Disciplemaking Goal: Equipping

Vision: Kids who are equipped enough to understand the Gospel, communicate its message, and defend its content. (1 Peter 3:15)

Descr ipt ion: Sunday School is the place where k ids dig into God’s Word and discover its truths. Sunday School is designed to be an environment where children engage their minds so they move beyond a collection of facts to an authentic understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. We are passionate about the ministry of Sunday School, and seek to use it to raise up the next generation of leaders wi thin the church.

Ages: Bi r th to 23 mos. and 2’s & 3’s

Day & Time: Sunday AM

Purpose: To care for the needs of infants and young toddlers while their familes worship,
fellowship, and grow.

Disciplemaking Goal: Winning & Building

Vision: Familes feel the love and know the care the Nursery Workers have for thier kids enabling them to participate in church services more freely. (John 13:35; Hebrews 10:23-25)

Descr ipt ion: Nurser y Minist r ies are designed to care for and help young chi ldren and thei r fami l ies who at tend the var ious services at our church. Through these minist r ies, young chi ldren are exposed to thei r f i rst exper iences in a church envi ronment through compassionate nur tur ing and early learning opportunities. The attendance and engagement of parents dur ing our church services is also facilitated by providing a safe and loving envi ronment for their children.
